                                                     SPECIFICATION DESCRIPTION

ASTM A-53 - This specification covers black and hot-dipped zinc-coated (galvanized) carbon steel pipe in nominal sizes 1/8” to 12”.
It is suitable for forming operations involving coiling, bending and flanging. However, C.W. pipe is not intended for flanging. Bending,
flattening, tension tests and chemical requirements are required. Steel may be electric furnace, basic oxygen or open hearth.

                                                       MEASURING PIPE LENGTHS

It is regular industry practice on threaded and coupled pipe to measure the total length from the field end to the threaded
and coupled end including the coupling.
